Overview
From January to June 2024, I worked as the UX/UI Designer for Aries.ai, an AI-powered trading assistant positioned between complex quant tools and simplified copy-trading strategies.
The goal was to create a frictionless trading experience by embedding storytelling and persona-driven narratives into the product’s style and tone. My key deliverables included user flows and design mockups that shaped the overall product direction and user-facing experience.
Starting with the Story Behind the Experience.
Designing an assistant that simplifies trading.
Aries.ai is an intelligent trading assistant positioned between quant tools and copy-trading strategies. It was built to make trading simple and approachable for everyday investors who often face steep learning curves.
Impact
93%
of new users continued trading for two consecutive weeks after launch.
My work focused on using storytelling and persona-driven narratives to make the experience more intuitive and re-engaging.

Crypto Trading Experience are often too Complex, too Shallow, Never Stable
Aries.AI needed to bridge these gaps by offering a trading experience that was simple, stable, and compelling enough to inspire users to return.
Overwhelming Complexity
Quantitative tools buried users in data and jargon, intimidating beginners.
Oversimplified Control
Copy-trading stripped away decision-making, leaving experienced users disengaged.
Unstable Experience
Many platforms lacked consistency, eroding trust and discouraging long-term use.
Four Principles That Shaped the Aries Experience
To address these gaps, I shaped my design process around four guiding principles:
Clarity over Complexity
Surface only the most essential information.
Guided by Storytelling
Use narrative cues to guide understanding.
Frictionless Interactions
Streamline actions to reduce user effort.
Consistency Builds Trust
Maintain predictable and stable patterns.
Shaping the Journey: First Curiosity to Daily Return
To set the stage, I introduced Aries—a character with her own origin story—through the landing page to spark curiosity and invite users into the product world.
Inside the platform, I distilled the experience into three core behaviors:
Exploring Robots
Simple, minimal structures to quickly find suitable trading robots.
Creating a Robot
A single-screen, guided flow designed to minimize decision fatigue.
Staying Engaged
The Aries Point system rewarded daily logins, creating robots, or inviting friends, encouraging users to return.
This structure kept navigation clear, tasks effortless, and engagement continuous.
Iterating on Aries Point to Build Daily Habits.
The Aries Point system was designed to make engagement feel simple, transparent, and motivating.
Wireframes – Making Rewards Visible
Sketched early layouts to keep points and tasks clear.
Positioned Aries Point as the central “scoreboard” to spark curiosity.

Final Design
A Journey with Simplicity and Reasons to Return
The final design translated my approach into experiences that felt intuitive, guided, and habit-forming.

Designing Not Just for Usability, but for Returnability
Impact
Within the first weeks of launch, 93% of new users kept trading for two consecutive weeks after registration, validating the design’s ability to spark curiosity and sustain engagement.
Looking back, this project was less about heavy research or extensive metrics, and more about crafting an experience that felt alive. By blending storytelling with clear flows and lightweight reward mechanisms, I learned how even small design decisions could shape user trust and re-engagement.
This case reinforced the importance of designing not just for usability, but for returnability—making users want to come back, again and again.
